Planning Poker by Box4Dev is a privacy-first planning tool designed for agile teams. This Privacy Policy explains our approach: we don't collect, store, or analyze user data. Everything you do stays in your session.
2. How Your Session Works
When you participate in a Planning Poker session:
- Your data (estimates, votes, username) flows in real-time via WebSockets through Cloudflare Durable Objects
- Other session participants see only what you explicitly share in that session
- When the session ends, all session data is gone – nothing is saved by Box4Dev
- Cloudflare may retain transient logs per their own privacy policy
3. Browser Storage: Your Preferences
Planning Poker stores only optional preferences in your browser's local storage. This is purely for convenience:
- What's stored: Username, theme (light/dark), language, and deck selection
- Where: Only on your device – never sent to Box4Dev
- Control: Clear anytime via browser settings (your data resets on next visit)
4. Security & Encryption
All communication is protected:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all connections
- Secure WebSockets (WSS) for real-time data
- Session data is ephemeral and never logged persistently
5. Infrastructure Partners
Planning Poker relies on Cloudflare for infrastructure and DDoS protection. Session data flows through their Durable Objects. For details on how Cloudflare handles data, review their privacy policy.
6. Your Control
- Join sessions anonymously – no account required
- Clear browser preferences anytime via browser settings
- No tracking across sessions or devices
- Session data is visible only to participants in that session
7. Use by Children
Planning Poker can be used by anyone. Since we don't collect personal information, there's no specific age concern. Parents should supervise their children and know that session data is visible to other participants.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
